All this talk about  mods (as well as Frank's pages) got me in a
mod-frame of mind. I completely understand about keeping one's Vanagon
as stock as stock can be... in fact I shudder at the thought of
drilling, cutting, or otherwise permanently changing my dash or camper
cabinets.

Disclaimers aside, I still like to dream about the perfect mods for
easy camping or even fulltiming. Maybe it is the inventor or tinker in
all of us that sparks that.  Maybe it is the aha moment there's
something from the list that is so simple, so forehead-smacking
brilliant...

During winter when my van is tucked in safe from the salted Minnesota
roads, I daydream schemes for low-impact and smart mods. Sometimes all
I end up doing is repacking the van differently, other times I sketch
out improbable luxuries for fulltiming. I wish there was a way to
adapt something like a slideaway cargo tray (I've seen 'em for Jeeps
http://www.highrock4x4.com/) or a shower curtain system involves
little fussing, or adapting a quick release (like the kind for
quickswitching drill bits) on the kitchen tables.

So in your own daydreamy way, what mods do you dream about or dream up?
