It is stated that you put all new parts etc. into your rebuild which sounds very good . The thing that I do not see is NEW pistons & cylinders to match the new rings ?? Horizontal engines wear the pistons and cylinders and rings egg shaped You do not put new round rings into 2 worn egg shaped objects // doing so can cause compression loss or overheating OR BOTH in the piston / cylinder area.
