Lets face it, tinted windows are a mixed bag. Great for privacy, especially during the day. Great for keeping the sun at bay in the desert and summer travels with the AC on. Great for keeping prying eyes from seeing stuff to rip off. Great to reduce headlight glare from the rear. Bad for backing up at night or in parking garage. Bad for night driving in general. Bad for off season camping when you need all the light and heat from the sun as you can get. My last van had tinted windows. I can't remember what the percentage of tint was, but I think the back 5 windows had film that was slightly lighter than limo and the front two had the lightest tint. My current van does not have any tint and I have no plans to do that. Sure, there are times when I wish the tint was there, especially when it's baking in my driveway during the summer. That's when I try to keep the van covered and the sun from damaging the interior as much. Be nice if it fit into the garage :-(
