Pull the "VW" out of the center of the S/W (I use a small flat blade screwdriver). Don't remember the size socket but it's large. Unscrew that and pull from 3 and 9 o'clock, directly toward yourself, rocking the pressure and the wheel will pop off. My bet is that it's the horn sensor scraping on the contact ring. I use some light grease lube and that takes care of it.

Hi. I have a steering wheel the makes a rasping sound when it turns. It sounds like it is near the connection between the steering wheel itself and the steering wheel shaft. Sounds like the bearings need grease or the seal has ruptured. How does one get the steering wheell off to check?

Thanks, Ralph Channell 90 White Westy Moraga, CA
