Hi folks, I did the simple "hose pinch test" for the AAR in my '84 1.9, stone cold, and there was no effect on RPM. (Bentley 24.28) I assume this means the AAR is stuck open, as the van starts instantly and runs and idles well when cold. However, once warmed up, the idle fluctuates, and once in a while the engine runs extremely lean on acceleration. What effect could the AAR sticking open have on running conditions when warm? Are AAR's fixable? I ask this because a quick search of the vendors reveals almost none in stock, and the one I did find (at a place called Rapid Parts--?) costs almost $80. This raises another, more general question: what do we do when this kind of part is NLA everywhere? Thanks,
