The tubes shown on the German EBay site are rather cool looking. I'm sure somebody handy enough could make one (or two) on their own. Bus Boys in Redding, CA already makes the Side Step for the Vanagon - has been for the past 15 years. I have run one on my Westy for a number of years until it was stolen after I removed it to do some underbody work and stupidly left it outside for someone to walk off with. Oh well, maybe someday I'll buy another. http://www.bus-boys.com/bbaccess.htm#step -- Jim Thompson To All A Safe & Happy Thanksgiving Holiday! 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 73 K Ghia Coupe "Denise" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com ********************************** On 11/20/06, Florian Speier <groups.florian@gmail.com> wrote: > > Hi all, > > just saw someone makes a new vanagon excessory...... unfortunately on ebay > germany. might put one in the next bike-box i ship over. > > http://tinyurl.com/weswu > > if you look at more items from the seller, you will see he also makes them > in thinner versions as well as with a real step for non-cladded vgons. > > pretty nice imho > flo* > |
