Hi Jeff, How to you spell N-i-g-e-r-i-a?
The "buyer" is being vague in order to lead you
on to believe you will be paid.
DO NOT RESPOND.
If the buyer is NARU that means ebay dumped this
scammer.
Just look at his feedback profile. Is he a 0?
for a month or less. (usually a day).
The next stage of this scam is to send you a
bogus money order more than the value of the
engine and shipping.
You are to refund the difference. The scam is
that you send money to the buyer, not the other
way around.
His money order or check bounces. You are out the
money.
If someone actually comes to your home with cash
that's a different story.
If they have a foreign accent , if they call to
come- have the police waiting there to greet
them.
But these guys are clever. They never show up
because they are in Africa with an e-mail address
registered in UK or Germany.
I replied to scammer "Mama Bundo" in German. She
wrote back in German, "I see that you speak
German, but I prefer english".
I then asked her why she prefered english if she
was in Germany? That was the last I heard from
"her".
The wording of the email is classic Nigerian
scam. "My client " is the dead give-away.
He's your client. How does he have a client?
DO NOT RESPOND to the POSTAL MAIL.
Contact the Police or the PO if mail comes.
Forward that to the Postmaster General as this is
more evidence to help them use mail fraud charges
agaist them if it was mailed from the US.
If it's mailed from Nigeria, or the UK, etc- need
I say more??
