There are several websites dedicated to illustrating how horrible PayPal is.
They are, for sure, but it is almost a necessary evil. You can certainly
operate without it but it makes for difficulties.

I have personally had an outrageous experience with PayPal and a eBay seller
that I ended up buying stolen, defective merchandise from. I had a smoking
gun email trail, the original owner that had been robbed and still PayPal
would not find in my favor.

Caveat emptor.
