Geza, two things: 1) if warm idle speed >1400 rpm, ECU kills fuel until idle drops; my '84 does this regularly as throttle is binding and will not close completely. and 2) are all other vacuum lines and fittings in good shape and tight?

AAR pretty reliable. I have my own way of checking an AR but I have been flamed by gurus on the list for posting it.
