To paraphrase JB. "A pirate looks at 50 twiced". Welcome, Billy, to the ton-up brick club. Geared .77 top with 215/75-15 and the wide powerband of the venerable SVX six and sufficient California Superslab (I-5) tonning the brick is fairly easy. SVX pulls handily to 6500RPM. Now stopping the brick is another story and heavens forbid you have to swerve to avoid suicidal ground squirrels.

Didja notice that the van got imperceptibly shorter? Fitzgerald contraction probably.

1/2MV**2, where V=100mph and M is 5000lbs is a sizeable amount of energy to put through the SA disks. Y'all be careful out there.
