Most costly items posted on ebay call for a deposit within two days and full
amount by a certain time frame. Did you have this condition on your post?

Whatever happens, do not accept anything other than cash. No bank drafts or
cashier's cheques. This is how most scams work. Since the reply talks about
"enclosing payment", almost certainly you will get one of these. Notice how
the engine will be picked up later? What often happens in these scams is
that the draft will be made out for an amount that is too high, and the
sender will ask that you cash the draft and refund the difference. You do so
and then the bank draft bounces, weeks later.

The other part that is most fishy is that whoever wrote this used poor
English and so is almost certainly located offshore. I've received similar
things when posting online my rental suite and just ignored them. My advice
would be for you to do the same, the fact that you have posted this shows
that you can feel that it's not right. Ebay just doesn't work this way.
