Help! I am looking for a Xams gift for my husband and would like to know if
there is a place to buy sliding door screens. I would appreciate any help in
this
matter. Please send email responses directly to me @ dfancher@whispllc.com
and not just a reply as that will go to my husbands email address.
The very best sliding door screen I've ever seen is being made by Angele
Martineau of the Quebec Club. I saw them at the fall Rendezvous in St. Gabriel
Brandon, QC. They are made to work on the track of the curtain and come with
sliders to be installed. The screen can be left in place and pushed to the
rear or taken off the sliders as it snaps to the new sliders. This way you
have both the screen and curtain on that track at the same time and use
whichever you want or remove and store the screen. The other innovation she made
was the closing. Done with magnets and a six inch overlap so that you can
walk in and out without having to unzip. Those of you who have used the
zippered sliding door screen know what a PITA it is to try to open the screen when
you have both hands occupied. The screen is attached to the door frame with
Velcro which is supplied. The kits come in many colours as the screen
material is surrounded by rip-stop nylon and come in an attractive storage pouch
made of the same nylon. The kits are $85 CND and you can reach Creations Angele
in Thetford Mines, QC. at 418-338-1505, e-mail:
