Subject: Re: BA^ Heater Booster #6 ducts

These BA6 units came off aircooled Vanaogons.I think most were installed in aircooleds. If you are looking for one, best to checkout all the air cooled Vanagons you can find.Even those currently uses as chicken coops. They wont bite.I found both of mine in the same junkyard,in Hagerstown Maryland. They has been sitting 25 feet apart for 10 years.Nobody cared to look.

I think they will fit watercooled with miminal changes. First, a check valve for the main heat tube that runs from the inside heater box, to the rear vent, under the Vanagon. This will keep hot air made in the heater box, from going to the engine compartment.Second is relocating the blower fan. I think the area where the coolant pipes and PS lines are,is too busy.fMaybe thedrivers side. Most of the other changes were upgrades to the existing unit .
