Hi.

This is how I got my speedo out of my 81. Don't know year of your van.

Disconnect battery, remove plastic hood, disconnect electrical connections and speedo cable, remove screws (4) holding cluster to dash, remove cluster and turn it around. You will see 4 screws holding speedo to plastic.
