Leslie -

The first item you're describing sound a lot like the Air Intake Elbow that
goes between the AFM on the Air Cleaner and the Throttle Body.  Thes have
been obsolete for several years now.  At the moment, the best thing to do is
to try to repair the cracks and/or "small" rips with RTV sealant.  Granted,
it's only a band-aid, but it should get you down the road for awhile.

Ventura Warehouse/Airhead Parts currently has a repro of this elbow in the
works.  We've had some material protyping problems, but it looks to be
solved soon and we're hoping have them available in early 2007, so hang in
there.

I'm not sure what you mean by an "oil separator", but based on where you say
it is, it sounds like the oil breather assembly.  You might give Blair &
Sons VW in Phoenix, AZ (602-243-1238) or Wayout Salvage in Arkansas
(479-665-4126) a call.  Both are excellent VW salvage yard sources I've been
aware of for many years.  They may have both of what you're looking for.
