Not too uncommon in the UK, but pretty rare here in the States.

Cheers,

Jeff

Not too uncommon here in Oz either. If memory serves me right, the second sliding door for a T3 was a $995Aus option. An option that has been available here ever since the splitties and continues thru the T4 and T5s of today. T4s and T5s also had/have the option of double rear doors too for a similar cost.

The double sliding door option is usually found on T3 Transporter models, particularly the panelvans and sometimes the window vans workhorses for the obvious practicality of delivery and tradesman's vehicles The option was far less common on Caravelles although it is certainly not unknown here.
