First - thanks to everyone who has been trying  to help me sort out some
problems on my PC machine.


Second - the whole issue is now moot! The computer died yesterday due to
motherboard failure. I haven't a clue what brought that on, and since it
has happened before, I know the symptom. So all that other stuff -
problems with copying, making disks, etc, reformatting hard drive, etc,
is moot at this point. I'm totally frustrated. Time for a new machine -
maybe a dual core machine.


Anyway, thanks for all the help from List members who tried to help with
the problems.
