Sorry, Don but I think you're wrong. Britian never got square headlights on their 'Vanagons'. All the square ones in Britian are LHD ones taken off LHD models imported in (like this one). All RHD Vanagons (T25) until 1991 had round headlights. Some owners will take square LHD ones and fit them on their RHD T25s though.

Are you sure? I am not saying your info is incorrect but I do know that there are RHD versions of the square headlight. For example, all Australian (RHD) T3s came standard with square headlights (the Euro type) from 1988 until 1992.

I am aware that in the UK, the round headlight configuration was retained longer and was the norm however, I would very much doubt that appropriate square headlights for RHD models i.e., with the light pattern directed to the left, would have only been made available for markets such as Australia and South Africa.

If however, no RHD square headlights were ever made available to the UK, I stand corrected...
