I am replacing all the rubber in my 87 and the rubber from the middle side windows I just removed is in excellent condition. Nice and soft, no cracks. Has the channel for the chrome trim. $30 each (they are over $100 each at the dealer, I know, just bought some new ones). I would use them, but I am going w/o the chrome channel.

In doing this project I discovered, oddly enough, that the dealer is almost always the best source (and price) for the rubber. In fact, I have been told that most of the independant VW shops are just re-selling rubber they have purchased from VW. I have found on some pieces, you can save 25% using the dealer vs. the major independent suppliers.
