What do you mean? You just said you put the heater in the "cabinet space" next to the water tank. Why isn't that usable space? I tuck plenty of stuff in there.

That's why I think this solution isn't any better than putting the unit under the bench. Same net amount of space removed from your overall space total. The only other solution I've read is the removal of the rear auxilary heater unit which I think is a pretty good idea unless you live in conditions where you need that extra heater. IMHO it is not worth relocating the circuit breaker or giving up that cubby hole versus the ease of installing the unit under the bench seat. The only thing I can see that is of benefit is the shorter copper tubing route to the main tube.
