I would not advocate selling a Westy for any reason short of a life-altering
event (and only a few of those...).
If you have USED your Westy you probably love it (you drove it in CO and
kept it, you must have). Whenever they are in one their moods, like
impending emissions testing, it's easy to think about life without them; but
think about your next spring or summer vacation. Think about the pictures
your 5-year-old will draw of your trips and show to his class (MY son
painted a picture of the Pigeon Point lighthouse that got hung in a gallery
when he was five. These trips only get more priceless, he is now 12 and
family camping is still his favorite vacation.) You are in one of the prime
Westy-camping areas of the world...

On the other hand, if all it has ever been is a mode of transportation to
you, dump it, there are much better simple modes.

And remember, the putative buyer paid that mechanic to find what was wrong.
Did the wrench know anything about our beloved beasts? Like the factory
standard for oil leaks? (How many drops/minute?) Surface or REAL rust?
If you find yourself asking a price no one will pay, maybe you don't really
want to sell...
