You're not far off the mark, even if you are stereotyping. Riding a motorcycle in any heavily populated area in California is pretty darn dangerous. I have half a pound of stainless steel parts in my left leg as testament to that. I still ride, but not for basic transportation anymore. Too many people suffer from "bike blindness".
