RE: Removing the rear heater Jamie, it's a practical matter. If you don't normally have passengers in the rear, that is travel solo or with only someone in the passenger seat up front, then you free up quite a bit of storage space under the rear seat by removing the heater. It's s simle task to remove and easily replaced later if needed. And practically speaking you get more room than it appears because it leaves room to sore longer items like folding chairs, roll up tables, etc.
