I'm sure this has been asked in the past, and I am sorry if it a repeat, but with all the new entrants and experiences I thought I would ask again.
I just put a newer 2.1L 91 Wasserboxer motor in my 84 Westy, and put in Sierra Coolant. New larger coolant pipes, new radiator too!
In the past I had always used Pentosin in my 1.9L 84 Wasserboxer.
So the big questions is. which is better and why do you think so? Is there anything newer out there I should consider?
I have been told that the choice of antifreeze can play a critical role in the head pitting.
Any thoughts?
Thanks for your input.
