recaros.... get some recaros from a mk2 Jetta GLI...and remove the Jetta bases...so they'll be flat... and then take a junk vanagon seat and unbolt the tracks on the bottom and weld or bolt them to the recaro frame.... and they'll slide right into the vanagon tracks on the pedestals...

on a cheaper note - subaru seats work well too.. they have a flat mounting base..
