Actually, the 82 is one year and 83 another. So 2 years of diesels sold here. Many differences between the 82 and 83 diesels. Virtually the entire cooling systems are different from front to back. The 83s came with 5 speeds, so the shifting stuff is different from front to back as well. The basic engines are the same.
