Get a new cable and you will figure it out. The rear tube does come with it. The hardest part will be getting it over the tranny. Do not adjust it so tight that the throttle pulls against the stop. This will keep it from closing properly and the combination of your foot flooring it while the engine is moving can stretch and break it.

hey all, My acc cable has been freezing up on my syncro. I took apart the assembly under the pedal cluster and cleaned up that linkage. I disconnected the cable in the engine case and under pedal assembly. I could barely get the throttle cable to move freely, so obviuosly, it is pretty gunked up inside the tube. whatever the gunk is, is freezing and causing my cable to stick. so what is the procedure here? bentley is no help. In replacing the cable is the tube also replaced? can I remove the cable and flush the tube with compressed air or something? I am worried that i will not be able to get cale back thru. What is the method here? Thanks jason 87 syncro westy
