An interesting read. I had to double check that I had not been on that road, but I took US 199 to Grant's Pass, not Bear Creek Road (in my Tristar, btw).

That was a few years ago, but US 199 even had some nasty sections that were being repaired due to land slides. That was in November back then too. I also remember looking at the huge trees and wishing I was traveling it during the day...
