Subject: Westy to the Rose Bowl!?
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Mornin',

With the beloved LSU Tigers on the verge of accepting an invitation to the Rose Bowl for the first time in history (cross your fingers), my wife and I and another couple are considering driving my Vanagon from Denver to Pasadena for the festivities, due partly to the fact that flight prices have skyrocketed this week, and partly to the fact that I'm in the mood for a drive...

Is anybody familiar with the Pasadena area during New Year's, specifically as it pertains to possible camping or hotels, tailgating for the game, etc in a Westy?

I have discussed this with other LSU fans, but I'm not really in the same class with 40 Foot RV's with gigantic purple and gold tigers painted on the sides so I'm not getting a lot of useable info.

I know this is a stretch, but my faith is, as always, in the informative powers of the venerable Vanagon List. Any advice would be appreciated.

Geaux Tigers! Joe T.
