Now I know from whence the instructions I followed came. I had no problems with the task when I did mine but found the instructions to not accurately cover certain aspects correctly or in sufficient detail to just pass along to someone not knowing their abilities. The accuracy issue could just be a year model difference, they were written for a `89 and our Westy is an `87. The inaccuracy that immediately come to mind was with the retaining screws for the heater box. The instructions direct you to remove the grill to access some screws from the front, I found all on our van to be inside under the dash panel. As for detail I am expounding on certain tasks that are vague or mentioned but not explained, the differential lock switch removal for example. The instructions just say to remove the switch and panel but not how to do it so I am fleshing this out with some detail. Once I have finished with a draft I would love for others to review it and maybe add comments or ment ion differences between year models. I do not wish to take credit from the original author and did not even know whom that was until today as my copy came from a posting in the last couple years and that person stated that it came from a prior post with unknown origins. My only goal is to make good instructions even better for the next person.
