'85~'91 outside slider handles are the same. The earlier models use a longer handle as those mechanisms are "Cranked" open and need the leverage.

Often, those handles are found on eBay (careful about getting the correct length, though) and several of the online vendors carry them.

'80~'84 part number 251 843 704 (long one) '85~'91 part number 251 843 704E (short one)

New ones aren't cheap, though.
