If you have a Vanagon you can actually look at the tire sticker on the driver's door opening for yourself. The sticker changed some over the years. In my 87 and 88 vans the sticker lists more than one 14" size along with the recommended pressures for each size. The Load Index of 97 is specified only for 205/70/14 size. The other 14" size(s) list a 6PR Load rating and much higher pressures. Load C is 6PR. Mark Rich Bennington wrote:
