Quite interesting to hear of others experiences with diesels and driving. Frankly I don't mind the slower pace of my AC van and in some ways, really enjoy driving it more than my DD. A Honda Accord. Certainly pacing is important. I learned quickly that you can't be in a hurry driving a Westy. It's actually a nice feeling in a way. As for unwanted salutes, I don't think I'll be getting any unless I pull a boner on the road! If I do get an unwanted salute, I'm sure I'll be clear on who has the problem.
Neil.
