I'll make a WAG and say the relay with the 18 on it was the one making the noise. Other things could make it do it though. Page 97.201 of the Bentley has the most complete showing of the relays and what they are for on 1986 and new models. Just how many keys and other junk are on the key ring you were using at the time?
