Put an listing on Craiglist Toronto under Community / Rideshare. Explain you would like your engine to ride to BC along with someone who is already making the drive with a moving truck etc. Offer to help load and unload the engine at each end and to pay some money to help with gas. It helps if you upload a picture of the engine with something like a 2 liter soda bottle in the photo to show scale. (not everyone knows how big a waterboxer is!) Tie the engine to a pallet to make it easier to move and more stable. You can usually get free pallets from your local Home Depot, just go to the back receiving doors and ask one of the employees if you can have a used pallet to ship an engine on. Don't forget to search CL, you can also contact people who have ads like this: http://toronto.craigslist.org/rid/246734314.html And in the US, http://www.uship.com is a neat service for matching shippers and drivers with extra capacity in their vehicles. |
