Nope, this ain't the "Areobatics" Bob Hoover. This Bob Hoover was one of the original listees right here on the Vanagon List way back in the day, then he migrated to the spinoffs, Type2 and VintageBus because that's what he drove and worked on. Author of the famous and hard-to-find "Bob Hoover Sermons" about all kinds of VW repair. Just plain ole good common sense. He did some home-built planes and flying and when talking/writing on the subject, signed as RS Hoover to keep from getting confused with the other. -- Jim Thompson 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 73 K Ghia Coupe "Denise" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com ********************************** On 12/13/06, John Rodgers <inua@charter.net> wrote: > > I wonder if this is the same Bob Hoover of the aviation world that use > to fly a twin engine Aero Commander doing aerobatics including > both-engines-off-propellers-feathered-to-landing manuvers.
