Subject: Still weird quitting problem
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed

I appreciate all the help I got a week or so ago when my 90 wouldn't start, then finally started but the engine quit momentarily about a mile and a half from the departure point.

Some suggest a ground, idle switch, ignition switch, coil.

This happened again saturday... started fine, got a mile and a half from home then quit. This time, no restart. Towed home. No restart Sunday either.

Replaced the ignition switch today, fired right up (another data point... until the moment the ignition switch was replaced, there was a dull, froglike "croak" when turning on the radio from the off position." Made me REALLY suspect a short in switch).

But, a mile and a half from home, it quit again. This time I pulled over and cranked it a few times and it started up and drove another half mile to the store, then drove home without incident.

???

Jim

(PS if you write and don't hear back for a couple of days, it's because I'm traveling. I'll check back when I return)
