Subject: OT: ford crown victoria list or expert
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

friends,

I have a 1997 ford crown vic as replacement vehicle for the van during the subie conversion. have some trouble with it. is there a crown vic list someone knows about?

in case someone here is an expert and would pm me, this is the problem:

intermittent tooo low idle on some days, the engine would stall whenever i take my foot of the gas (in the middle of an intersection usually), so the only way you can drive the thing is with one foot for gas and the other one for brake. not very pleasant. if the problem is there, it will be there for the whole ride. it is not dependent on whether the engine is warm, even happens after stretches of highway. most of the days it runs fine, and the engine idles rather too high. you know how the idle increases when you shift the tranny from drive to park? this does also not happen when the problem is there. i think the problem is more often occuring on wet days.

thanks for the bandwidth. flo
