One important fact that I've learned over the past few years is that the
prices at the VW dealers in Germany are much, much lower than the US
dealers.  As a matter of fact, many of the online vendors charge more for
regular (i.e., not dealer only) parts than the German VW dealers charge.

Not a bad price, considering they retailed in the USA VW Dealer Book for
$558.17 in March 2005 (251 863 711 Color Code 041 Black).
