Finally arrived safely in Palo Alto from NYC on Saturday Dec. 2nd without
much of an incident except the one time I tried backing up a short distance
and the traillered vanagon jacknifed accross the road blocking two lanes
somewhere in Tennessee. I must learn how to do this with truck & trailer.
Happy to be here in the much nicer weather and looking forward to hooking up
with other Vanagonites in the near future or knowing where are the best
bone-yards for VWs around here. Thanks again to all who volunteered places
to visit but a snowstorm in New Mexico slowed us down considerably. Just got
our DSL installed and working again so only now I can respond online but the
unpacking is still in high gear.
