(Subaruvanagon listees, you are coming into this topic midstream, but I think its pretty obvious- last minute GTG in Washington DC)

As Kim points out, the weather should be excellent this Saturday. I also have a party -at my boss' house- that evening, so the early afternoon works best for me. I'm sticking with my 1PM suggestion.

Here is a link to a map of Rock Creek Park. The place I am suggesting is Picnic Area 10. http://www.nps.gov/rocr/planyourvisit/upload/ROCRmap1.pdf . Note the roads that are closed weekends marked in yellow.

Any long distance travellers that need camping faciliites, my driveway is open as always.

Permits are required for groups of 25 or more. If this is gonna happen and it looks like we will approach that number of people, we ought to get a permit to reduce the possible hassle factor. Lets get a rough head count, please - email me directly, it will be easier than keeping track of postings on one of the three lists.

Alcohol is not permitted in the park. There are grills and picnic tables there, a nearby restroom and several moderate hiking trails into the woods nearby. Dogs are permitted on a leash.

Let me know...

Tom F.
