Vendre mean for sale, well, this page is in French only because van were for
sale localy, all my "Restauration BJP" section is in french... all new
section i do are both French and English, metric and imperial... and, you
can imagine the time it take me to do all that, in a medium quality English
and a worse French :-)
Where was I, ho yea, color, well, like i said, one was what we call here
"Taupe", your color, and, it's the only one of the 3 that came out of the
paint shot that i didn't have a shock!!! it was still THAT color, sorry joe,
but i don't like that color, but you know what, everybody does ?????
Anyway, now that i have a frigging real SHOP with lately a good enough paint
shop (we now paint in house...), i can do what ever dream van i have deap
inside my head, and this one is mostly empty, my head!
So here i am with a 85 in pretty good shape for the price i have paid, you
don't want to know... i will put a lot of stuff on it and test also (before
the Subi) a 2.1L of my own recipe. Now, BLACK is still in my head, but
Sylvia, my girlfriend is now crasy about a red color, and she like the
Tornado red, you need to understand that we work together a lot, and she is
doing more body work that i do... let me tell you that she is somekind of a
women, oufffffff, doing an MBA research at the same time!!! so, she as the
final decision!!! and the only reason that i like the red is that all black
trim will look nicer....
BUT, this morning, someone told me about some orange color, like the new
beetle one and a Golf GTI one.... men that could look nice also...
I know have the tools and power do to whatever i want with a Van!!!
This is so cool, it was my dream and it's working.... well, i'm not rich at
all, FAR from that, i'm almost poor...(???) but happy!
I love those frigging vans, i love to travel in those, sleep, have fun, meet
peoples, destroy some for parts, fix them, repair, paint.... my 79 was my
dream bus, i did it, now, i will built "Dream(s) Vanagon(S)".... he he he...
one day, i will do a real shinny black, with the silver roof.... probably
the next one..
