Scooters and Isle of Mann came up on digest. Also.."Alternative transportation"... Check out the Yamaha Zumas. My wife bought one of these about two years ago to use as a 'pit bike' at her equestrian events. Cute thing..50ccs, electric start, fairly large tires (you can ride it off the pavement) has a 'luggage compartment' under the seat and it goes about 45mph..fast as a diesel van...kidding just kidding..It would fit into a vanagon GL, probably. Very cool way to get around in a city or for short trips out of a campsite.. And thanks for everyone who responded to my query about a source for spotlight. It seems Unity is about the only manufacturer, so there I go. Don Hanson 84 faux-Westie with I-4 8 valve motor..power nothing.. |
