I don't have a squeaky fan (yet) but I wanted to get ready for the time when I'd need to lube the fan bushing. I also have a few extra projects on the go that could use a small camera. Oh, and I like toys. After doing a bit of web browsing/searching, the one I eventually bought was this one: on ebay.com, item 300062602594 When I got it, I was absolutely delighted. Works OK (not great, but OK) in low light, but the real bonus is that when you unscrew the peep hole part, the whole camera's diameter is around 1/2". The biggest bonus was that there's an actual lens that you can focus at whatever focal length you like under the peephole part. You can look at stuff as close as ~1/2" to the lens. I cut off the red connector and put on a 9V battery connector. I have a crappy TV with an RCA input that I've used, but I'm shopping for a cheapo LCD TV or DVD player to make the whole package totally portable & independant of 110V power. tabe johnson/87 westy |
