Thanks all for the suggestions; it never dawned on me that of course with all the recent snow and such the track is probably full of sand and crap. My usual process is to take everything apart, clean it, repack with grease and reassemble, but if I can get away with a wipe and lube so much the better. I'm always wary though of slapping grease on surfaces expose to the elements (re. Crap). Wouldn't something light (and less likely to attract said crap) like WD40 work? Nathaniel
