Interesting that some knock-off brands of "The Club" don't fit the vanagon's big steering wheel. I bought a MasterLock brand one at Wal-Mart and had to return it b/c it wouldn't extend far enough. I also had the type that tightens up on the brake or clutch pedal and the other end goes around the steering wheel. But it was low quality and looked like a hack saw could cut right throught it. After my storage trailer and all the storage trailers at my Public Storage were broken into (except the ones with the high quality locks), I bought "The Club" for my van. The $10 bucks I saved on my trailer lock cost me $1000 in stuff. I also put in a fuel shut off switch in a secret spot so when I am parked at a trailhead or Mexico or whatever, the van won't start even if broken into. It is cool, there is enough fuel for it to start and then it dies right away and just seems like it is a P.O.S. van. Dave in Denver
