Chris, Did it have a smell or taste?? Reminds me, I noticed a liquid dripping beneath my vanagon off the frame rail, Thought it was coolant. Felt it--slimy. Smelled it--nothing. Tasted it--I expected the distinctive taste of Ethylene Glycol, but no, was very acidic and unpleasant. I noticed MORE of this mystery liquid under the van so I mentioned it to my wife who had been driving it. "Hmmmm... I remember seeing a plastic jug filled with something and it popped when I drove over it", she replied (she was in a road construction area).

I do not want to know what was in that jug.

Good luck, Chris C 90mv

I dropped my van off at the tinting place and I noticed a bit of orange liquid on the back hatch. I did not get a chance to investigate more, but I'm obviously concerned it may be a coolant leak.

Would coolant show up on the rear hatch, or did someone just spill their OJ on my van? The only two fluids I know in my van that are orange-ish are the coolant and Krown rustproofing, but I'm even more at a loss to explain how Krown would get back there.

I go back to get the van in a week. How should I start looking for that coolanyt leak?

Chris
