It isn't necessary to remove that part to inspect the slider track.
Once you remove that support you are setting yourself up for an
hour's worth of frustration as you re-align the door so it shuts
properly. Don't remove that part unless absolutely necessary.


IIRC, if the door is fully open and latched in it's locked open position,
it won't fall. If you do need to remove the lower (or upper) slider, mark
marks with a pencil, tape or whatever showing the position of the
bracket-makes it easier to reinstall with minimum amount of adjusting. I
always remove the little wheel, clean everything real well, put a LITTLE
bit of grease on the post the wheel rides on and it good to go.      Jeff
