My Westy has 3 of 'em. I'll get a 4th one for the other center seat eventually.

Yes, they are much more comfortable for long drives. The arm rests aren't as adjustable as late model captains chairs, but they work. You don't have to have the armrests on the Recaros, of course (my center seats won't).

The drawbacks are that you just about have to disconnect their mounting brackets to get to the batteries. When swiveled around the seat tends to hit the door handle (well the armrest hits the door handle.) Similarly the armrests tend to hit the seatbelt retractor when you are all the way back. Also for me, I find that the slide handle (in the front of the recaro) hits my calf when I drop my leg down.

I've considered a couple of times going back to the original seats, but like the adjustability and comfort of the Recaros too much.
