And, I think it should be taken one step further.

I really think tanks should be modified to have steel tubes brazed into all holes where grommets are used, just like the tanks have for the main fuel line to the pump.

Otherwise, you will have to deal with replacing the grommets eventually.

There was some talk on the list about enlarging the gas tanks for 2WD. Maybe all this could be done at one time if the enlargement idea wasn't dropped due to another issue.
